Can I travel to other countries with Samenreiskorting (Joint travel discount)?
Yes, as long as one of the passengers has an NS season ticket that allows Joint travel discount. The discount is valid for a maximum of 3 additional passengers.
Joint travel discount is only valid on Full-flex fares for travel on Eurocity Direct/EuroCity, Intercity Berlin and ICE. The discount applies to the domestic part of the fare as far as the border.
Joint travel discount is not valid on TGV and Eurostar or in combination with international discount fares.
Select the 'Joint travel discount' option when buying your international tickets via NSInternational.nl or from a NS ticket machine.
You can find this option on NSInternational.com by clicking on the little pencil in the box under 'Travel party'.
Note: There are also discounted fares on every international train. Sometimes these give more discount than with Joint travel discount. Check availability in the booking module on NSInternational.com.
